After a lot of work and time, the songmaking contest results are finally in! Let's thank the volunteers that worked as jury members: Dragu, Krotti, Modderman and Ollzer.
The Results
1st : Sectoid(Carlos Viola) with his own song "Moonlight"
Sectoid is one of the regular sceners, part of the famous demo group Timescratchers. He has produced many songs with original material, which is very much appreciated at Keyboards on Fire.
2nd: Mark G with the song "Cut Up" by Slight Curvature
Mark G also submitted another song, "Engaging Use of Sarcasm" by Slight Curvature, which rated just one point below his best song.
3rd: Modderman with the song "Vietcong Theme"
Modderman is one of the most active members at our community and participates in our planning and development.
Let's hope the winners and many other people will continue participating in our events at Keyboards on Fire as well as submit many new songs!
All the submitted songs will be released on our downloads page shortly, please stand by =)

The tubes must have broken
For some reason the Frets on Fire scene is experiencing problems online. Fretsonfire.net has been down for some time now, and what comes up instead is some kind of design firm's webpage. The Frets on Fire page on Sourceforge does not reply. The official Frets on Fire site has been down for some days now, according to sceners at #FretsOnFire.
Yet Frets on Fire Spain(http://www.fofspain.com/) seems up, as well as
French On Fire(http://www.frenchonfire.fr.nf/).
I wonder what happened to fretsonfire.net. Rumours say that they couldn't afford the website upkeep.

Another Lovely Song
On our Song download page, you can find the recently added song of D Fast, called "Underwater Lab Theme" released with permission from the original artist, according to JJ10DMAN. The song is from a game called Within A Deep Forest by Nicklas Nygren. The song features a nice, slow chillout theme with a slightly electronic sound and some funk. You easily drift away with the song :)
Thanks for JJ10DMAN for bringing the song to us on Keyboards on Fire!
